I must say, being at Carolina is much better than what I expected. I was a bit skeptical about going to school so close to home and was sure I wouldn't like it but I absolutely love it here! It feels great to actually be able to completely govern myself, unlike at home and I feel so comfortable here. However, the independence has definitely taught me so much already. My time is extremely important and I seem to have plenty of it here. So, prioritizing, keeping busy and time management are extremely essential.
Along with having a nice stay, I really like my roommate. I met her in USC's Facebook group when we were both looking for roommates. We decided to go out for ice cream and that was that! We are definitely a lot alike which makes it even better.
So far, I feel that my classes are helping to provide a smooth transition and I haven't encountered any struggles. I didn't load up onto too many classes that would overwhelm me completely. Although I know they are coming, I feel as though this semester will allow me to adjust and prepare for the usual, yet complex, workload ahead.
